Port of Chehalis Announces Sale for Major Operations Facility
Operations Facility Expected to bring upwards of 1,000 jobs to Chehalis
Chehalis, Washington – The Port of Chehalis announced the sale of 0 Rush Rd. to Amazon for $9,320,080.18 on December 9th, 2025.
As referenced to in a prior press release from December 4th the proposed facility at 0 Rush Rd, parcel #017800014003, is anticipated to become a fulfillment center. The project is expected to create between 500 and 1,000 jobs, not including CDL driver positions. City through traffic is not expected to be significantly impacted, and traffic impacts through the Port industrial park will be supported through the existing dedicated overpass as well as Amazon’s use of real time data to determine the least impactful time to deliver to and from the facility to further minimize traffic impacts on traffic flow.
This development represents a significant economic investment in Lewis County and aligns with the Port’s mission to grow and diversify the local economy while fostering high-quality job creation. Based on 2025 figures and rates, the potential annual county tax impact from such an investment is estimated at upwards of $2.4 million, which would support local government services that typically include infrastructure improvements and community programs.
According to Amazon, the company offers a competitive starting wage, health benefits from day one of employment, and access to the Amazon Career Choice program after 90 days.
